Buying a car missing documents

Hi, I am trying to buy a car her in Spain and the owner cannot find the ITV carta. I am told I need to apply for a duplicate and this requires a further ITV inspection (the car has a valid one). I can't get an appointment till mid December, I leave at the end of November. I need to do the deal now. Anybody know a work around?

buy a different car...same as with any property it is rarely worth all the aggravation that can result from incorrect papers.

If it’s definitely got an ITV do you need the card? Or does this prevent you doing a change of ownership.

The car has itv and I know the only owner. To get the duplicate I have to have another inspection. So I’m told.

I guess if you really want the car speak to a gestor to confirm

I first used my lawyer then a gestor. Different stories and now I have the duplicate I was told I couldn't get. Spain I guess.
