Hi,
I'm looking for recommendations for transporting two small dogs from Alcala La Real area to southern England end of November early December this year.
Brittany-Ferries has no capacity .
Any Member used one this year ?
Thanks

All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

Hi El Cid,
Many thanks for the link.
Coordinating the Travel dates , the new documents required and the receiving agent is the challenge.

Hi Enrique, have you been successful in your endeavours to organise moving the dogs?
We are actually on the Cap Finistere at the moment. Mixed bag. Some good, some not. E.g. pet exercise ateas and the kennels. Still we are on the way and you will be pleased to know that the documentation was all fine.

Hi olive,
Good to hear your trip is progressing well.........
Pet Transport:
Abandoned to idea as costs for Pet documentation and transport costs made it easier (still expensive) to put the dog into kennels for the 82 days of our next trip to sort the Farm out ready for the up coming olive harvest.
Since Brexit pets to Spain need an Animal Health certificate....signed by an "official Vet"......our Vet charges £250
Yet with EU Pets Passport you can travel to UK as of old...........
Which way did you go from Burgos to Bilbao........thinking of A-1 and AP-68

Pet sitter?
Maybe they could stay with us?
We drove up the pay motorway from Burgos in the end. Worked quite well, Bilbao is nice especially the architecture. I hate the roads all crammed in on top of each other with divided turnings. Lost count of the number of times we made wrong turns. We stayed in Palacio Urgoiti which was very nice but out of town. A step up from Hotel Alisa at Lerma which we used on way up and as usual was very dependable.

Hi Lyric,
https://www.gov.uk/bring-pet-to-great-britain
So just the cost of doing the Worming as Travel on Pets Passport.
"A vet must treat your dog for tapeworm and record it in the pet passport or health certificate every time you want to bring it to Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland).
The treatment must have been given no less than 24 hours and no more than 120 hours (5 days) before you enter Great Britain."
Just like the old days.............

Re: Pet transport from Spain to UK
We paid 10 euros for the tablet ( we administered later) and a post dated stamp as we were travelling Bilbao to UK.
Re: Pet transport from Spain to UK
Costs us about the same. We see our vet a few days before travel and tell him we are going to the UK. He gives us the tablets and asks us what date do we want him to put in the passport.
