For some time now, my wife has been puzzled by tiny holes appearing in her t-shirts.( never mine!).
We now have absolute proof that the holes are appearing between pegging-out the washing & unpegging it,after being left out all night.( we've carefully monitored the shirts from the moment they go into the machine until they are retrieved from the clothes line)
The items tested were new,so they had never been in the wardrobe nor had they been worn
Does anyone have any idea who is feasting on the garments?
Thankyou
JB

Re: Clothes eaters
Moths?
This time of year swimming pools get covered on moonlit nights with small dead moths.
Do you need to leave washing out overnight in this heat?

Re: Clothes eaters
Thanks Olive.
Are your swimming-pool moths likely to be the type who are eating the clothes?
(We've always prefered to leave the clothes outside; they smell fresher.)
We have never had the problem until around a year ago.
We are curious to find out what particular species is doing the damage.

Re: Clothes eaters
Really do not know. It was just a suggestion.
Re: Clothes eaters
There are loads of insects which eat cloths. A lot of beetles at least about 8 eat clothes when left on the cloths line
