Cattery

Postby Len S » Thu Sep 18, 2008 5:21 pm

I am trying to locate a good cattery within say 30 kilometers of Vinuela.

Our cats would prefer one that is not run in conjunction with a kennels!!
Typical of cats, they have a serene unstressed life. Barking dogs do their heads in- as we say in Liverpool.

I would be grateful for any recommendations.

We used (on recommendation from alisonb) Whitehouse (will check name and edit if I am wrong!), in Mondrón, for our cat.
They do take both cats and dogs, but the cats have their own section, with 2-storey accomodation, and plenty of attention. I do not know what went on whilst he was in there, but he went in a nervous twit, scared of going out in the garden, and returned to us a macho cat, strolling nonchalantly past the local dogs that wander in and out of our garden! Maybe the other residents had a word with him!
I know the business is for sale, but it is so near you, surely worth a look?

Just drive to Modrón, and keep your eyes open for pawprints painted on rocks, with arrows telling you where to go - follow the trail and you end up at their gate.
Or just Google "Cattery, Modron" - interesting how every estate agent has it at a different price!

Don't know your area but if you are near Almogia - we used this one and would definitely recommend it.
