Possibly a fire salamander?

I went out with the dogs this morning and lying dead in the road was this little beauty. :(
Can anyone confirm that he is a fire salamander :?
I didnt touch him,just scooped him into the plant pot so my son could see him.
A beautiful little creature.Shame he was dead. :(
