Hi
Maybe not the right forum but probably the right people reading it.
What is the law regarding re-establishing residency in the UK. For Tax, for health entitlement and for getting a Uk vehicle insured.
We have been spanish tax residents for two years and are moving back. We will share our time between Spain and the Uk but predominantly in the UK.
Any help welcome.
Steve

Have you looked at http://www.direct.gov.uk/ ? There is some useful info there on the various subjects you mention.

We found it very easy, contacted the tax authorities and said we were back in the UK. Received a form to fill in and that was it. Health service, went to local health centre, form to fill in and about a week later received NHS no. Easy peasy

I have read that you also should de-register from Spain, i.e. cancel the residency certificate in the national police station.
If you are registered in the Spanish health system you should also de-register at your INSS office and local health centre.
Also take your name off the padron.
Does anyone do this?
