Unable to cancel an insurance policy.

That sounds awful. Good luck with it. I think I would be tempted to wait it out. If they do take you to court, it would seem that you would have a very good case.

I think I've been very lucky. Someone phoned and told me that I needed to make a payment. I said I couldn't and she got quite stroppy and eventually said "Well if you don't pay, your policy will be cancelled in six months time". I refrained from pointing out that I would be delighted with that.

Six months later, I received notification that my policy had been cancelled. I've heard nothing since.
