Currently we have a house in Spain, are Spanish residents and pay our tax in Spain. We are shortly buying a property in the UK and will stay there for 183 days or more per annum although we will retain our house in Spain for holidays.
My question is how do we opt out of the Spanish tax system i.e. do we have to notify anyone? We would submit a tax return in Spain for 2013 but want to revert to paying tax in the UK from 1st Jan 2014. We realise we will have to pay non residents tax on our house in Spain.
Thanks for any advice.

You will need to submit Form 030 to the tax office. More info here
