Hi
I have a green residence piece of paper and I understand that I should apply for a TIE.
I have made an appointment with the local police station, but, as usual, I am hearing conflicting information. Some people saying the TIE is not required at all. I believe it is according to the Moncloa information. Does anyone have anything on this and what documents are required, photos etc?

Any help would be appreciated
Cheers folks

Re: TIE application help
As I understand it, once the UK has left the EU (.......) all residence certificates will be automatically changed for a TIE, and there is no need to apply.

Re: TIE application help
As an EU citizen (at present) you cannot apply for a TIE.

Yeap. Ypu will Have to wait until brexit! .Then depending on what residency you have will determine what you need and how easy it will be to apply for a TIE. for example if you have permanant res with permanant written on it its supposed to be a straight swap. More than five years but without permanant written on it then you will have to show proof such as tax returns.think theres 3-4 diff groups
