Copia Simple

I am being advised that our Copia Simple will have expired by now. Good advice ? I didn't think that it did.

I think you might be referring to a Nota Simple which does expire almost immediately. A Copia Simple is a copy of your escritura. You only ever get a copy - the original is held by the notary, so clearly, it doesn't expire.

No I was referring to Copia Simple. We were relieved of ours by the official at the National Police in the TIE process. I know we shouldent have been but we were.

You can get another copy at the notary. Why would they want to see your escritura? Were you not just changing from the green card?
