clocks go forward/back /?

Postby laswalkirias » Thu Mar 18, 2010 12:07 pm

I will be in Spain next wednesday 24 /03/2010 and I believe that the clocks in Spain change the following Saturday 27th. Does anybody know what I should change on my clock that night? Forward or backwards

In spring you move the time forwards 1 hour - so at 1 a.m. you have¹ to get out of bed and change all the clocks to 2 a.m.

¹Or you can do what most sensible people do and wait until you wake up on sunday morning, turn on the TV and adjust your clocks to whatever time the breakfast programmes are showing

If they close at all they can't be that sleazy - though you do miss out on 1 hour's drinking time (or is that "work" time :D ?)

Don't worry. You'll get it back in October.

if it was optional it would all be a lot simpler, everyone should be able to choose if and when they want to put out clocks back, or forward an hour..we´ve all got different lives and situations, we should be allowed to choose to do whatever suits our lifestyle best..... another case of "them" forcing "us" do do whatever "they" think best ...enough is enough !!

Frank was a friend of mine since my arrival in Marbella in 1979, he was diagnosed with cancer about 6 months ago. He was given a few months and held his own wake on Jan 1st 2010 in the Banana Tree in Marbella. He had a great turn out on the day and how many people do you know that held their own wake whilst still alive. What a man! May he rest in peace.
Oh Yes! another day in paradise!

Yes Frank was definitely a good guy, his taste in music was great, I've been down there a few times when Mel Williams has turned up and had a few drinks with us, I remember when he turned up with Lonnie Doneghan in I think, 94 we were absolutely rotten (pi55ed) we rounded off the afternoon with a trip to Banana beach, my mate Baz was a close friend of Frank, I wonder why he hasn't let me know ?
