Mountain Biking

Postby Izzie D » Sun Aug 15, 2010 9:42 am

Hi All,

Are there any Mountain biking clubs in Andalucia (not holidays)? I have a 9 year old son who i am told is very talented at this, and he is fanatical about it. I can find lots about road racing, but not Mountain Biking :-s

Can you help?

Hi Izzie D,
Best find a local Road club and go along to see if they have a MTB section.
From my experience in UK 9 years old is on the young side for clubs.
The other way to go is get your other half to take up mountain biking and take the lad out, you can read up on the web on "off road" techniques and he would soon be able to bunny hop logs and do drop off's into bomb holes .
Are there any other lads of the same age and interest so you get an informal group going, with one of the Dad's leading it.

Some of the best times I've had with my lad has been when out on the bikes.
All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.
