The Jet Stream is in the wrong place again!

Postby annfoto » Sat Nov 27, 2010 1:13 pm

It looks like we are going to have a repeat of last year's wet winter. It is thoroughly miserbile weather here today and it looks like it is going to be even worse on Monday.

High pressure is expected to settle over the Azures round about the beginning to mid December and should stay there for about three or four weeks.

Points to settled weather; though the predictions are fairly long range !!

I know it felt like it rained every day for three months last year, but in fact it only rained on 41 days during the whole of January, February and March.

This is good rain and much needed........if you want less damp in general then move to Almeria province, we were significantly drier than you last winter and this is generally the case.....

As much as I detest rainy conditions, I have to say that the ''Rain in Spain'' has been falling in the right places over the past few years.
Former parched and scorched countryside has now a delightful green hue, and of course the agricultural world has benefited so much from the precious drops of water shed from Gods blanket of clouds..
Just hope that there isn't too much flooding...otherwise I will have to start work on my 'Ark' again...

Regards,
Gordon...

Much needed!? Not here...I read (in the Sur at the end of last winter If memory serves me correctly) that we had so much rain in Malaga province last year that the reservoirs had enough water that it wouldnt matter if it rained for three years!

Sorry Julilan!....It's been that long since I posted on here that I forgot that each post had to take into consideration every permutation of every possible scenario else risk the wrath of yourself with nowt better to do than be pedantic!...

In the interest of being constructive, when you "correct" our (my) errs, it may be a good idea to share with us the benefit of your wisdom....For example, rain is not only needed for filling reservoirs but also for..............Thus educating the rest of us (me)...
