So, how is the weather where you are ???

Do you have a query on how to get things done in Andalucia, where to find things, who to call? Find out by posting and hear about others experiences.

Seems its raining all down the coast and all across Spain too, its got until Monday lunch time to stop.

Knowing my luck it will continue until I get back to Adra on Tuesday Lol !

I will be able to practice my slow driving if its raining hard enough, get acustomed to the new pace of things.

Has anyone noticed the change in the speed limit yet?

We had 2 on Tuesday evening and 3 on Wednesday, but sadly none of the 5 scheduled to take place last night could set off, although it wasn't actually raining, I guess the streets were just too slippery to risk it. Some of the tronos were just brought out briefly whilst the bands played, but that was it. And not looking good for tonight, either.

Last night's was cancelled. Tonight's processions are looking doomed as well.

The whole of Spain is having bad weather except right up on the north coast, which makes a change because it's often cloudy here but if you drive 40 km to the south the weather's completely different,Hot and sunny, except this time it's raining down there and up here it's sunny.
Don't think I'm gloating though because tomorrow I'm heading south to Madrid for a few days.
A little gloat maybe but I think I'm entitled to it today as I'm going out for my birthday lunch.

Does anyone know why Spain is having such bad weather while London and most parts of UK have had wonderful warm and sunny days for over a week now?

1. High pressure over the UK means that we get all the crap weather normally destined for the UK
2. Divine intervention, disapproval of grown men with hoodies parading effigies around town (almost always rains during Semana Santo - no matter whether its early or late).

Lightning, thunderstorms and periods of torrential rain in the night. On-off showers today.
Well, we've had a pretty good April so far.
Not really surprised to be getting some April showers.
BTW Julie, I think this is a good post you started.

To coin a phrase of Pa Larkins, the weather here in Leicestershire is 'Perfick'. Agreed, it doesn't happen very often, particularly in April but it is truly lovely and shows the Spring flowers and blossoms at their best. There was a warning of possible smog in cities but I don't intend to leave my garden. It's lovely to see the children playing out of doors; the dawn chorus and birdsong are a delight and the nearby woods are a magical carpet of bluebells and wood anemones (they normally bloom mid to end of May) I wish I could master how to upload photos from Picasa to share the beauty with you. It's been like this since the begining of the month so at the back of my mind is the thought we'll surely have to pay for it

Two years ago we came out to Spain for Easter and it was miserable then, with parades etc. cancelled. Such a shame and disappointment after all the hard work put into planning and preparing for them. It's the only time in ten years we were glad to come home........... back to central heating, fitted carpets, a comfy armchairs and a good drama on BBC :D Most of the time we love visiting our shack, ooops, cortijo, in Spain and are looking forward to next month. Meanwhile, it's time to go and water the greenhouse now that the sun is off it

Here in essex was 27 yesterday, today was around 25, cold at night though,
frightening sights of white legs in 10 year old shorts, fat people in tight tshirts, and some lobster coloured people. everyone is having a bar b cue, and buying packs and packs of beer.
Nothing changes and i am missing the chiringuitos and the smell of sardines being cooked on the beach.
Can I come back to spain now please

Getting bored with wall to wall sunshine for almost 5 weeks :o Can't see it lasting much longer though. Just wonder where everyone has come from, everywhere is crowded. Went to the Isle of Wight a few days ago and the majority seemed to have at least one baby carriage and another 3 brats. Beach was full. :(
