Hi
Does anyone know of any online or home study courses? I have 2 boys and really want them to keep progressing their English in more than just a verbal capacity.
Thanks

Ours read a lot of English books, good novels and classics, they ended up streets ahead of the average British student, innit

Try bbc.co.uk/schools .................. has lots of interactive reading, writing & spelling activities.
If you want to print out worksheets firstschoolyears.com is worth looking at.
If your boys are Primary age phonicsplay.co.uk is also an option.

I second the advice for encouraging as much reading as possible.
Each year I get the appropriate age Key Stage revision books for English language studies (from Smiths and most large UK supermarkets) We work through these over the summer and I also do some work with English spellings.

Great idea to put it the time with the English, I know a girl here who was 7 when she arrived is now 15 and can hardly speak English let alone writehopefully they will not have to return to the UK
