Java updates
Different issue to my DVD burning problem, but whilst uninstalling various programmes that I'd downloaded in order to attempt DVD burning - I notice that I have three Java (TM) 6 updates in my programme files (updates 3, 7 and 26). Do I need to have all three (are they inter-dependent?) or can I uninstall the 2 earliest updates? Ta!

Download latest.............

Re: Java updates
I have just updated to Java 6 update 29.
I still have the following on my system:
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 5
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9
Can I safely uninstall these now?

Re: Java updates
Try Javara:
http://raproducts.org/wordpress/software
It checks for latest updates and removes old versions.

Maybe I'm being thick but when I click on Download Windows Binary (.zip file) it takes me to a website called The Web Atom. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Java updates
Web Atom has taken over Javara but you can still download it from its original Sourceforge location if you wish:

Hi Chunky Monky,
Just go to Add/Remove programs and remove them.
