Home & Gardens Show Malaga

Postby boxcart » Mon Oct 03, 2005 8:25 pm

Suprised nobody has posted about the homes and gardens show in Malaga. Did any of you forum members go? I was there it was excellent, I loved the show garden it was so well designed and that fog coming out was great Im going to get it for next summer. I also really like the gazebo with the white fabric roof, that was beutiful. What did you all enjoy most?

I agree, it was very good. Apparently the organisation was very difficult and even up to the night before some of the exhibitors thought that it might not take place! However all credit to everyone involved.

As a longstanding fan fan of the Ideal Home show, I can see this improving every year.

I would like to see more fiddly bits, nice gifts, foods etc and a few less spa's!

I thoroughly enjoyed the charity auction and only wished I had time to stay for the later one. Anyone know how much the "show gardens " fetched?

I haven't filled in the poll because I loved everything. I just wish the fibre optics were a little more affordable!

Apparently the show garden didnt even go to auction because by the time the auctioneers were ready everyone had left but I heard rumours of in the region of 15k

I agree about the spas far too many.

But it was good to see so many new and innovative things and ideas

I aggree, it was very good for a first attempt and I'm sure there will be more. Only gripe was the lack of liquid refreshment areas, mind you if there where any more then the lack of toilets would have been even more of a problem. Over-all I give it a Free Time Thumbs up.

Its great to hear so many positive replies to the above event that took place. As one of the exhibitors, its rewarding to know that all the hard work put in wasnt wasted!
I also thoroughly enjoyed it, although I was exhausted by the end and only now catching up with sleep!

katy, yes, it was last weekend :) thursday set up, friday saturday and sunday the show was on.

Guest, it might have been a first attempt in spain, but it was not a first attempt for the organisers ;)

Dane, i must agree, far too many spa´s. but that big one that was on its end.. MASSIVE!!! I want that one!

boxcart, i only saw the set up, i didn´t get to the show.. but yes, i was there at the start.

overall it looked like a fantastic place, respect to the organisers and their secretary ;) must of been a right laugh / stress / game :D i´d love to have more involvement in the next one :)
