Is there a way of giving some idea of what lt/m sounds like in inches?

I would like to know how much rain they are having. It looks particularly bad around the Costa Brava area (who shut off beach showers this summer for lack of water!)

One Litre per Sq metre is equivalent to one millimeter of rain.

Therefore 25 litre/m2 is about one inch of rain.

At our end it's not rained since the storm last Monday/Tuesday during the night but I see rain is forcast for tomorrow. What you have to remember is that we call rain and wind is different from in England. I was back there for two weeks in September and it was cold and wet and windy every single day. The wind was worse than ever I have experienced on the Costa de la Luz. Here at this time of year when rain is forcast it rains for a couple of hours then the sun and blue skies come back. In England it was raining all day! Dewpoint is 11 degrees today with 20% chance of a shower and 24 degrees max with 16 degrees min at night. But then to cross Andalusia would take you 4 or 5 hours so we cover a HUGE area.

Not sure where you were, but we have had an excellent September, certainly not the conditions you are moaning about. This is from the met office.

Mean temperatures generally around 1.5 °C above average, and the warmest September since 1999 for many areas. East Anglia and northern Scotland having the most above average rainfall, with Scotland E and England SE & Central S the most below average. Nine out of the last 11 months, have had below average rainfall across England & Wales.

Here in Wales it was pretty dismal during September. Think we had about 8 days when it rained and temperatures were not that high. :?

I'm in West Wales, and it was good. I walk a lot, and I cannot remember many days when I did not go out due to bad weather It's nice now, sun is out, it was lovely yesterday, we were walking around Wisemans Bridge, Saundersfoot area. Took a small jacket, but it did not stay on for long. There's a rubbish shot here from yesterday, but not a cloud in the sky!

I am on Anglesey and we tend to be a bit worse off than yourselves, however, yesterday and today it has got upt to 21C. Clear blue sky. Strange weather this. Also, when one has a look at the various online weather sites I wonder at their figures? Best asking someone that is at the location for true reflection on the weather.

Its very cloudy in Marbella and the mountains have disappeared from view, probably the same in Mijas. Had a few spots of rain.

In North Wales, Wrexham area and we certainly didn't have nice warm dry weather at the end of September. Very similar to today's weather actually tho colder!

I understand, from another forum, that he was found with about €770,000 in his house.

His brother in law was found with €20,000.

Doesn't sound dodgy at all

And here in Almuñécar raining too. But the streets need a good wash after a rubbish collectors´strike.

So long as there is plenty in the mountains where the reservoirs are.
