CERTIFICADO DE EMPADRONAMIENTO HISTORICO

Postby Campo Steve » Tue Feb 12, 2013 8:56 pm

We are starting to go through the process of getting into the state health care system, if we can. One document we have been asked for is the CERTIFICADO DE EMPADRONAMIENTO HISTORICO. What is this? I had lost our previous certificado de empadronamiento so recently gpt new ones from the ayuntamiento.

What is the historico version and where do I get it?

Thanks Enrique. I assume it is something I apply for at the Ayuntamiento then. I also assume that if I moved just over three years ago I would need to apply for a separate one at the previous ayuntamiento.

Looks to be proof that you have registered over a period of time at a certain Ayuntamiento.

Would help if a member has been and done this.........I'm only going with what's on the web.

Without checking I thought each time I got a new one for whatever reason (health card, matriculate car etc.) the original date was on with the fancy stamp signed through by the Mayor giving the recent date.

The cert de emparonamiento we have is a reissue as we had lost the old ones. The new one gives the date of original registration 2008 which is more than 3 years, which I thought was the criteria.

On ours it states the original date from in 'observations'.

Just ask for the historical one at the ayuntamiento office and they should have it ready within a couple of days. Your padron may have all the information they need but if they say they want the historical you will get nowhere fast without it, in my experience.

Hi Campo Steve,
From our Town Hall web site............

"The historic registration certificate is required only when required by a government agency or notary for certain temporary or exceptional situations or in the event that it is specifically requested"

Steve,
Looks like they've got you on a clause on the last page of the application form:
El funcionario podrá requerir la documentación complementaria si lo considera necesario.
ie: The officer may require additional documents if necessary.

Just humour them and persevere. Good Luck!
