Hello and property search help please

Postby 19paul59 » Fri Mar 15, 2013 1:53 pm

Hi to all existing members, we are new here and looking forward to getting to know a few of you.

We are looking for a second home in Andalucia which we aim to use intially for 3 months a year, but this will increase.

We are quite familar with certain costal areas having enjoyed many holidays on the costa del sol. I also have a cousin that lives in Villanuevo de Trabuco (which we like) so we have been shown many inland areas.

We are looking for a little assistance as we have is a property search visit at the end of April.

Although we like Trabuco it is a little too far inland, if it could be moved 15mins from the coast we would buy there. From that statement it will give you an idea of the type of village/town we would be happy buying in.

We quite like Mijas Pueblo as a possible location. We would be pleased to hear from anyone that could recommend similar inland villages up to 15/20 mins from the coast stretching from Estepona-ish to Valez Malaga-ish.

I hope this first post makes sense to most of you.

Thanks

Paul

Istán or Ojén. Both about 15 mins to marbella but not as touristy as Mijas.

Nice video. Commentary was in some strange foreign language. Flippin cheek.

Is Istan as close as that to Marbella? It always seemed to take me an age to get there.

I like Ojen. Check out the inscription on the outside of the Church in the central plaza.

Istan is close to West marbella, only about 10 mins from Banus but a different world. :)

Mondas nice. on the same road as ojen but another 10 mins further inland. Might be abit to far inland though for you.we really liked it when on housing trip but felt it was abit to far out.

benamocarra just outsde velez malaga is a good spot aswell. ten,15 mins to torre del mar.

At the Eastern end of your preferred search area, I agree that Benamocarra would be worth a look, and would also suggest Algarrobo Pueblo which is a pretty village within 15 minutes from the coast and 5 minutes from the motorway. Neither of them is at high altitude so the weather in winter is a bit warmer than places higher up in the mountains will be.

Yes an advert. Your original post had the word "housing" as a link. I clicked it and nothing happened. I paused my Adblock and it took me to http://www.buzzdock.com/Pages/Search.as ... &q=housing

My friend has a lovely house about 30 minutes inland from Malaga with spectacular views across countryside to the sea. Unfortunately he has had a mild heart attack and feels he would be better living in a villiage or town. His son has made him a web site http://www.spainhousesale.com it might not be what you´re looking for but no harm in looking.

Casares is a fabulous place - and not far from the coast or motorway, good links to Malaga airport and also Gibraltar. Only a spit further from Estepona.
You can spend, minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened - or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the f**k on.

That's the problem. Too many tourists. Difficult to park here when the freeloaders come. Day trippers from along the costa come in their tour buses and wander round buying zilch. Then again we do have 39 bars!
