Re: Nutribullet
Agreed Devils Advocate it looks exactly the same as the Breville BSB 530 which you can pick up in the States for about £60.... put Hestons name on it ADD an extra £70 for the priviledge and sell it in the U.K. for £130.....they used to use Worell Thompsons name until his unfortunate incident in a supermarket
Re: Nutribullet

Re: Nutribullet
Hmmm, women Mines chucking the lot in too.
Glad you brought this device to our attention Nimrod, we've had some serious supposedly good blenders/Juicers etc. but this appliance is the best I've seen and used.
It really is superb and as I say so well built, very sturdy. Has to be the best kitchen buy we've done for the price.
Thanks again.

Re: Nutribullet
Glad you're enjoying it DA.
I must say we've never got through so many bananas, they''easier to drink than eat.
Avocado added to stuff is good too as it thickens stuff up.
And don't forget it will make a good soup too,boil/steam up some veg,add its water and blitz.
It's a clever design isn't it.....must make a cocktail some time!

Re: Nutribullet
Hi katy,
As pointed out plenty of smoothie producing products out there at 1/3 - 1/2 the price of The Bullet..........and to quote the hype ..........."The sleek, space-saving design will look great on any worktop -" ..............
¡que aproveche!

Re: Nutribullet
As I said earlier, they are all liquidisers of varying efficiency. All they have is a very fast rotating blade in a comparatively confined space which chops up, to a greater or lesser degree, solid matter such as fruit and vegetables.
Apart from the accessories included and the marketing hype associated with them the only factor in the design which will make one perform better than another is the design and sharpness of the blades and the power of the motor.
From the account from members who have used them, the Nutribullet performs very well, but even then I suppose it depends on how smooth you want your smoothie.
Sadly, many of them including the Nutribullet, try and sell them on the basis of how healthy the resulting product is. That is clearly a fallacy - how healthy it is is a function of what you put in it. Personally I fancy a hot egg, bacon sausage and black pudding smoothie for breakfast but I guess that isn't dietarily correct!

I'd grab one of them now Katy. If Blumanthal sticks his name on it then people will give 130 dabs for one
Nutribullet is a good product. If you don't think it's for you then there are loads of others about.
As Sandramay and others said it's the ease of use that's the big selling point for it, its lid is its mixer.
Simple idea but very effective. Load it, mix it rinse it...........30 seconds tops for the lot.
I'm no juicer fanatic but love things that seriously work. As I say, only bought one after reading this thread.
If it was sh@t I assure you I'd have let it be known

Re: Nutribullet
I have decided to stick with my 3 year old one I am a bit conservative with fruit and wouldn't ever drink veg stuff. Just looking at all the different stuff being shoved in makes me queasy. Suppose it is ok. If you are on a health regime (and mine doesn't have a lifestyle changing cookery book and mugs ) probably fine but my staple fruit juice is florida grapefruit or mango, definitely not together
There is a funny thread about Nutribullet on mums net. Some raise the question of our digestive systems needing to take stuff as solids. Others about getting the runs

Re: Nutribullet
Personally I cannot think of anything worse for breakfast that a veggie sludge or passably better, a fruit sludge.
We eat far more than the recommended five a day but in their natural form.
It sounds great for babies or pensioners with no teeth
Still, whatever turns you on.

It's a boon for us pensioners with no teeth, why mock it.
Especially if you have to suck the salt off a peanut.

I take on board what Sid says as always, as his intervention in this thread and hatred of all things Nutribullet did not sit well with me and made me realise you guys were wrong with the glowing reports of this product
Ah well back to bacon, sausage and 2 eggs sunny side up.!!!

Re: Nutribullet
Ever thought sid might be wrong?
Re: Nutribullet
I often think Sid is wrong but in this case I agree with him 100%.
Really there isn't a right and a wrong it's just what you prefer. I like my veg but only solid and sometimes with a sauce. I look on them as a pleasure, fruit too. Just not green slime for breakfast

Re: Nutribullet
Well ,ok,as the knockers haven't tried it I won't comment any more, other than to say I use it every day and find it really useful.
Over and out.
Over and out.
