That is easy, Not many Spaniards had the Internet or a photobucket account.

My favourite roundabout is in Granada near the Brico Depot, under the motorway. It has about six exits of which four are dual lane. The roundabout itself is between 3 and 5 lanes wide (from memory). Often see pranged vehicles there.

Take a look at this at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. My Daughter said you do get used to it, she had to use it to get to work. I have driven there and would go miles out of my way to avoid it

I think you're very much mistaken....the two photos are most definitely "Swindon's Magic Roundabout" and the large floodlit building in the background is Swindon County Ground.

The one in the picture is the Swindon one as ft said, officially called the Magic Roundabout. There is also the Hemel hempstead one called The Plough. I didn't realise the MK (A421) one was even finished, haven't been there in aaaaages.

The top photo from DGT doesn't indicate a "bien" for the inside of the roundabout which if I recall is only for a U turn?

A car would only be on the inside lane (of 3) for a short stretch before moving outwards so as to be in the outside lane just before the desired exit.

Just as a matter of interest whilst we're on the Spanish Highway Code, and not necessarily for motorist but for pedestrians. Spanish quite often just walk right onto a zebra crossing without looking to see if there is any approaching traffic :!: :wtf:

Please enlighten this ignorant soul: just what IS a glorietta? There is a sign announcing one at the entrance to a roundabout on the coast road at Torre Guadiaro and I've often wondered just what it meant.

It's just a Spanish word for roundabout but it only has one 't' -Glorieta. It is now more usual to use the word 'rotonda'.
