Hi snorbs,

"Some add ons in XBMC work fine others dont work properly eg:

I thought that was par for the course with some XBMC add-ons.
All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

This software is great in theory but often doesn't work properly.
In the end I uninstalled it because Android does the same job with far fewer problems.
Whatever you want to do in XMBC, there is an Android App that does the same with regular updates.

A very kind poster explained all in this thread. Some of the items were deleted due to forum rules but you should be able to get the gist and using Google, find out the rest.

Everything is possible on Android. XMBC was really only an alternative to Windows media Centre, which allows you to control the TV from the couch and not have very little icons.

Im not sure I follow this as well.

Like filmon I use the app dirctlty with out xbmc however how do we get 1 channel, Genesis and Phoenix on a direct android app?

Im asumming it wont be a straight download from google play, and Im assumiung of course the app would not be possible for windons on the laptop.

Xbmc when it works its excellent, but there is no much less on it now and the broken links and buffering is getting too much.

Cheers for the info

Mark that thread link doesn't work. I too am confused, as some people refer to an android box and then someone else says you just need android and an app. Is there a thread or website that explains?

forget about filmon via xbmc, use the app via playstore its far more stable.

Albeit i have not stopped the 3 minute HD to SD confirmation that always comes up.

Where are you mark!!!

Am I correct in thinking filmon (free) only allows 1 hour of recording now? I thought it was 10 hours...

It is possible to do most things on Android including watching live sport. Your starting point is Ace stream for windows. This is a web video platform that offers high quality streaming on a windows computer. There is also a version for Android but you will need to read up a bit about it first as it can't be found on Google play and it needs to be used in conjunction with another APP.

A quick Google with something like AceStream for Android will throw up everything you need.

Even though it's quite good, It's still not perfect, as a result I prefer paid options for football. For this a smart DNS is needed or subscribing to YOMVI, Spain's version of Sky.

looks like the clasico is in doubt for tommorrow.

It often takes a bit longer to buffer on Ace Stream. However, it does produce a better quality picture

I've downloaded ace stream but can't figure out how to open it. I've got an "ace play" icon on the desktop but no ace stream logo. Clicking on the acestream logo on the tray does nothing.

HELP!

The clasico was a nightmare.

the russian live streams for sky sports did not work, (im guessing due to volume) and every other source buffered.

I cant find anything decent via navi x and the phoenix sports links were down.

did anyone watch the football sucessfully via streams??

if so please do share.

I ended up watching it on Ace Stream because my paid channel's steam kept buffering.
I got a great stream and no problems. I watched it on my Android media box.

It should always taken into account that being in the north of Spain, I get really fast internet Speeds.
