Isopon P38

Postby gerryh » Fri Oct 16, 2015 11:55 am

Any ideas of where I can get Isopon P38, or other easy sand body filer, here in Spain?
Cheers

Hi Gerry,

Central de Recambios (Andel) - the big motor factors - in Velez Magala . . . in the roundabout turning opposite the Repsol Garage and tram terminus. Branches also elsewhere.

They do both standard filler, and the aluminium-filled type. Also sell the hardener separately.

Hi Chris
Many thanks for the reply.
Although I live fairly near Velez Malaga I don't know it very well.
Can you give me a bit more detail as to where the place is?
Cheers

I'd have bet money it was sold at Eroski. They will certainly sell body filler.

Afraid you would have lost the bet
They do sell small tins of body filler but I am hoping to get some Isopon P38 as I know it is easy to sand.

I knew they sold filler there.I can't see it being any different in all honesty. I use Isopon myself but other brands seem just as good, some even better. It's just that Isopon is the market leader and stocked by everyone over here.

I personally find it's a bug5er for leaving air bubbles and requires 2,3 even 4 applications sometimes unless you are using a stopper/knifing putty to finish.

Hi Chris
Forget my request for a more detailed reply to where they are.
I just Googled them and found them.
I will write out 100 lines saying "Google is my friend".
I have been up the main street past where they are.
I shall visit them tomorrow, looks a good place from the photos.

Hi DA
I also want some primer, rust killer, wet and dry paper etc.
Eroski certainly don't sell them.
Cheers

Hi Gerry,

Glad you've found them. Sorry not to have got back on this quicker.
They're an excellent outfit, and will also order in almost anything available, and quickly.
Good place to buy Yuasa batteries.
Also a Valeo stockist (headlights, radiators, vehicle electrics...).
If you ever need to do any under-side rustproofing, they stock 4CR products, which include an excellent Cavity Wax, available in 1-litre (non-aerosol) containers. Better than UK Waxoyl.
They usually offer a very competitive price, but respond well if you gently ask for a "best price".

C.

Find an automotive paint supplier. They stock it all.
Todos somos Lorca.

Found the place OK. Unfortunate they don't stock Isopon P38. They had a different make of body filler, but I specifically wanted Isopon P38.
Tried other places but no joy

You'll find Isopon P-38 on both Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.es.

Hi Chris
Yes I know that but I was hoping to actually buy some yesterday to use yesterday. As it happened it rained so I couldn't use it even if I found some locally. Also found sellers on Ebay.
Cheers
