Shaving...double edged razor blades.

Postby Nimrod » Fri Mar 18, 2016 8:08 pm

Just switched back to using the old fashioned doubled edged razor blades after using disposables for a few years.
Much better shave and it turns shaving into a pleasant ritual....
My question is,can I buy double edged blades,Wilkinson Sword or Gillette in a spanish supermarket as i wouldn't be allowed to take some out in cabin baggage.
Many thanks.

I think Mucky Donna does 'em. I'll put it on my list and check tomorrow unless a mind immeasurably more powerful than mine pops along first. :)

Some of the Chinese bazaars also sell them, unknown makes but apparently ok,also some chemists and drug store type shops and of course online...ebay etc.
At the moment it is 'trendy' for the younger Spanish guys to use the 'old fashioned razors'.
And did you know ..that you can keep the blades sharp by swishing them around in an empty glass tumbler ?
I learned that in the Navy...

Gordon...

Thank you Lyric and Gordon, much obliged.
My method of sharpening is similar, learnt from my dad (Royal Fusiliers WW2).
You wipe the blae up and down a glass as if you were using it as a strop.

Our local Coviran sell them
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

Generic blades in Muckies, not Wilko or Gill's.
I would be wary of E-bay, I use Mach3 and got 'bargain' blades off e-bay. I have never cut myself so much since I started scraping a few years ago.
