The process for withdrawal from the E.U.
I am just about to go out, so haven't read this yet - just saw the link on facebook, so thought I'd bring it here. Sid, if it's been posted on A.Com already, apologies and please delete. (Or if you think it's too boring lol)

Re: The process for withdrawal from the E.U.
Irene I thought it read rather like a stay campaign document but none the less Interesting. It raises the big question for me of how damaging this process will be to the 27 that are left. On the one hand giving the UK a smooth exit would ease the economic damage to the 27 but equally if it is too smooth it might encourage others to go. A tricky dilemma. Especially when it seems any of the 27 could veto the process
Hopefully we will stay (as the latest polls suggest we might) and this is all theory but will be interesting times if we go

Re: The process for withdrawal from the E.U.
I am more and more sure that Boris is being a trojan horse, making increasingly bizarre claims and statements supposedly encouraging folk to vote 'leave', but so stupid and inaccurate that those with any nous will vote for the UK to stay.
When it is all over he will own up, and reap his reward by Dave annointing him as the next Prime Minister.
The 'leavers' do not realise that given a choice of the UK's destiny being in the hands of Osborne and crew, or having their more outlandish policies tempered by the opinions of many European leaders, I and many others will vote for the safer option.

Re: The process for withdrawal from the E.U.
I wouldn't believe anything that came out of the gov.uk website regarding the referendum. Even the head of the remain campaign said nothing would happen on Brexit for at least 5 years. Trade happens, market forces. The government are growing increasingly desperate with their predictions. Yeah, EU is c..rap, let's vote to stay in
We can vote Osborne and Cameron out, not so the Junckers in Brussels.

From Moneycorp:
Opinion polls can hold strong influence over currency direction, so yesterday’s Evening Standard UK EU referendum poll result showing 55% of respondents wanting to Remain in the EU and 37% preferring to Leave, helped boost the British pound to levels last seen back in March 2016.

Stand by for another spouting of cojones from Boris! Just enough to tip a few more into wanting nothing to do with him and his gang.

Well there is a choice in the Tory party, one of the 200 who support leave perhaps.fincalospinos wrote:But who would you vote in, Wurzel Gummage and his band of anti semitic communists ???We can vote Osborne and Cameron out, not so the Junckers in Brussels.

Polls are unreliable, cast your mind back to the last general election.
