EMBARGO H. LOCAL DIP

Good morning all,

I wonder if anyone knows the implications of a EMBARGO H. LOCAL DIP .? This appeared out of the blue as a debit of some 40 Euros on our bank account with Unicaja. I telephoned the bank and it was explained that this is a deduction for an unpaid bill. We cannot think of anything that has not been paid up.....and I am not looking forward to a trip the town council in Cordoba (EMBARGO H. LOCAL DIP CORDOBA)...with my limited Spanish !!

It would be something that you owe to the Diputación de Córdoba and could be IBI, basura, sewerage, car tax etc.

Try putting you name and/or NIE number into the BOP search engine under 'texto a buscar' and see if it comes up with anything:

Thank you Beachcombar for you prompt reply.......have tried every conceivable combination of info but no results so far.....I'm on a plane to Malaga this afternoon for our autumn stay,...so it's to the bank, then the local offices in Iznajar and maybe then to Cordoba .......all for 40 Euros .....happy days !!
