Spanish driving licence renewal
I have been unable to find the answer in the depths of this forum, but how far in advance can you renew your Spanish driving licence?

Re: Spanish driving licence renewal
Simple process, in and out with certificate within 20 minutes. All that was required was
a. Spanish driving licence.
b. Green Residencia permit ( the useless piece of green paper!!).
c. The ability to play X Box type games and see!
The cost, €45.00 as I am over 70. The lady said it would be valid for 3 years. She also returned my valid licence as it does not run out until next month.
The addresses for all the medical test centres are on the DGT website, but only give the address not the name of the clinic. A quick Google Earth will confirm the clinic name.

Unless you have a specific medical problem, it should have been renewed for 5 years.

Re: Spanish driving licence renewal
So do I and it has never affected the validity of my licence. Other factors may be involved, but this site gives all the medical conditions that could affect the validity of your licence.GerryinCajiz wrote:I am sure you are right Sid, I do take medication for blood pressure (this is Spain after all!) Re: Spanish driving licence renewal
Received my new licence 3 weeks after completing the medical at Clinica Rincon, however it is only valid for 3 years! I was able to track its progress on the DGT website using my NIE and date of birth ( 'received', 'being manufactured' and then 'in the post'). Not the horror story I thought might happen.El Cid wrote:GerryinCajiz wrote:I am sure you are right Sid, I do take medication for blood pressure (this is Spain after all!)
