My Quad is booked in for it's ITV on Wednesday, however I have got a problem with the carb, and garage can't look at it till Friday.
So, I was going to change the appointment to next week, if I can.
However, the ITV actually runs out this week, so I wondered if there was a problem arranging an ITV after the date it has run out ?

Hi gerrynag,
"if there was a problem arranging an ITV after the date it has run out"......... I've not found this to be a problem in the past.
Would print out the appointment and drive the shortest way to ITV station.

All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

Ok, well that's good. I assume if I got stopped by the police, I could show them the appointment and hopefully they would accept that. and not do me ?
Re: Late ITV
Depends what side of the bed the GC officer got out that day.
Technically, if there's no current ITV in Spain, it has to be taken to the testing station by grua, I think.

Re: Late ITV
You get a discount for taking the test on or before the due date so will you lose that. If there is a gap of more than a month there is a surcharge.
If you are stopped by the police or Guardia Civil with an expired ITV you will be subject to a fine. The fact that you have an appointment does not negate this and it will depend on the goodwill and discretion of an individual officer whether or not you are fined.
Edit: I posted at the same time as White Horse but the information is basically the same.

Yes, that is always a worry.

Ok, but am assuming that not many people use the Grua to take their vehicle to ITV centre, even if over the time limit ?

You could use Social Drive in an attempt to avoid any checkpoints.

Re: Late ITV
It's an app that gives locations of speed checks, control points, traffic hold-ups and accidents etc
Re: Late ITV
The ITV ran out on my moped and I wasn't prepared to risk a pull from the police, so I took my moped to the testing station in my Kangoo van.
I know it's not as easy with a car. That app Beachcomber suggests sounds brilliant!

Don't think my Quad would fit in the car
