I would see another lawyer who deals with tenancy/housing matters

If the law says there's nothing you can do I don't honestly know what the answer is, are they causing problems ?

I would suspect that only the owner of the property would be able to institute proceedings to have them evicted. This would take some time and would also depend on whether by 'empty' you mean a furnished unoccupied holiday home or 'empty' as in devoid of all furniture and fittings.

There is unlikely to be much of a positive response from a court especially if the owner is a bank or a construction company etc.

Failing all else the only course of action left would be to 'send the boys round'.

I thought I had squatters yesterday. I received my eleccy bill via email for the apartment. Considering I switched the eleccy off after leaving in January and have not been there since I got a big bill for the last 2 months with loads of usage. Frantic calls thankfully short lived as Endesa pointed out my bills have been estimates since June and the meter was read recently for actuals. Not good for my blood pressure.

There are, apparently, a couple of lads who label themselves "problem solvers" who work out of Calahonda, Big Tommy and Iron Mick who will apparently "make you an offer you can't refuse" however if you go down this road there's no guarantee that they won't return !!

Manchesteral asked 'are they causing problems?' ... and if so, what kind of problems?

I bet they are Roma gypsies or Moroccan.

Hi

Thank you everyone for your replies.

I advise the empty Apartment is partly furnished and being occupied by Spaniards at the moment. Not Gypsies.

And the owner? Is it a person or an entity?
