Morning all
We are in the process of moving to Portugal and have had to take our car with us, (Spanish registered).
I don't want to go through all the hassle of rematiculating here in Portugal.
In practice we have left Spain but we are on my 90 days insurance.
Does anyone know what we have to do to sell my car back in Spain, Trafico etc.
It looks like we will have to come back (but that will be difficult) to sell it, but then we will have to get back to Portugal,
Anyone any ideas as to what to do?

Try and sell it in portugal? Depending on what you can get for it will it just be less hassle to change the plates

Re: Moved to Portugal with car
We have had a development since l posted the other day, we have found an importer here in Portugal who wants to buy our car.
Now the question becomes, what do we need to do to organise the Spanish side, Trafico etc.
We have printed a form that goes to Trafico to notify venta de vehiculos, and we believe we can do it on line for a fee of €8.50.
Is that it or is there more?
Does anyone know please?

I agree with you Costakid. There is nothing as impolite as not responding to a PM or Email where you have gone to the trouble of providing useful information.
When someone does that to me they will never, ever get any further help.

Sorry Costa - as I said, we have had developments since .... I should have responded directly to your PM of Thursday afternoon, a Bank Holiday here, but the next day we changed plans, as I posted on Friday, and now we have nearly decided to either sell it in Portugal, or rematriculate there, so we will not be bringing it back into Spain. So many thanks for your PM but your response is no longer relevant.
Is two days so long a period not to reply to a PM when the situation is in flux? I find Sid's take on the matter a bit severe!

To me a delay in replying is not an issue as there are many possible reasons for it.
I was referring to PMs that get no reply at all.
