distance glasses problem
distance glasses problem
I was recently advised to wear glasses for distance vision (have not needed such previously) ... but I am finding it very difficult to adjust to said specs ... my vision seems blurred rather than sharper/improved ... the optician suggested I use the new glasses in the house for a couple of weeks ...but to date, I can see no improvement ... has anyone any experience to guide me or advice to offer me eg how long does it take for eyes to adapt to such specs? ... many thanks
Re: distance glasses problem
I had new reading glasses and kept getting headaches. Optician said you will get used to them. After 2 weeks went back, had eyes checked and they had made the wrong prescription by mistake. I dont think you get used to them, they should be ok from the start unless they are variofocals which do take time to adjust too.

Varifocals do take some getting used to, but reading or distance glasses should work immediately. Agree with CK, it sounds like a wrong prescription.
