Travel to the UK
Just to say that if you are travelling to the UK it is well worth filling in the passenger location form before you leave the comfort of your home, computer and printer.
It has just taken me about 20 minutes per form to complete, and the idea of trying to do this on board or even at UK Border Control is not good - you cannot complete and submit it until 48 hours before you land, so time is tight. You end up with a 3 page document that gives everything short of your budgie's inside leg measurement.

Re: Travel to the UK
Thanks for the information, Peter. EasyJet sent me a link to the form for my coming-up trip. All was well until I had to fill in the dates of travel and was told I had to fill it in 48 hours before my flight. The form is like all the other GOV UK forms and can be saved partly filled in so I do not have to start from scratch when I go to complete the form.

Re: Travel to the UK
It is beyond me why thet don't let you fill the whole thing in and submit it once you have passed the 48 hours to go mark. As I say, there are 3 pages of it. One point - if you are doing more than your own form you must close the browser before trying to complete another one. At least it accepts the same email address & phone number for more than one person!

Big Q at Luton for those who didn’t pre fill it in. I was straight through and no Q at passport control.

Hola
We drove so we completed the form the night before in the hotel in France and the Border Control checked our phones at the channel tunnel to ensure we had completed the form

Re: Travel to the UK
We have british passports and going back to UK at end of July 2020 via Brittany ferries, do we still need to fill travel form? I thought we don't need to do it any more?
Thanks for any comment.

Just completed the form. It's not too complicated but it seems that 14 days self-isolation is required ...

Re: Travel to the UK
Just brilliant if you're only going for 14 days isn't it? I'd not worry too much though as nobody will be policing it.
Hence the need for masks, you're a sitting target without one, far easier to police and collect the fines.

Re: Travel to the UK
I think the quarantine only applies to arrivals from those countries that are NOT on the approved list. Spain is on it.

You are right, DA and I have a selection of masks.
You are right, Sid. It seems the 'advice' that goes with the form hasn't been updated.

Re: Travel to the UK
The whole process is unnecessarily complicated IMHO. There is no suggestion as to what they want you to put in the box where you explain why you do not need to self-isolate, and the lengthy list of categories of people who are permitted is ridiculous. Typical Civil Service rubbish.

Daughter visited from Paris when the 14 days quarantine was on. The next day she received a check up call but missed it. Another the day after which she took. Someone who she said sounded about 16 read through a spiel of what she was allowed to do. That was it. Impossible to Police it anyway.

Lavanda, don't forget when you are in the UK. You can go to the crowded Gym and work out with the rest of them for as long as you like and you'll not need your mask. Go in to the local empty shop for your pint of milk and you'll have to wear it or you'll be £100 lighter.

Not yet anyway - masks are here and there, maybe 10% wearing them, none of the shop staff in M&S Knaresborough, only the one on the till at TKMaxx...coming from controlling Spain to dithering UK is as we expected so far.
