No problem flying into Spain so long as you have a negative PCR test.

Yes, once the UK leaves the EU the rules will change. At present the UK is not on the list of countries approved for EU entry. As I said who knows what will happen tomorrow never mind next week. For example the UK just cut the Canary Islands from it's approved list and people on holidays there have had the rules changed whilst they were on holidays.
Here is the list of countries currently approved for non essential EU entry

Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Each EU country can let in who they want without getting permission. They are probably all going to play hardball for a few weeks to try and secure the Brexit trade deal.

Yes you could be right costakid..In the meantime i checked flights & i could get over on Friday night and come back on Monday..I am having withdrawel symptoms. It's the uncertainty of not knowing when we can get over..I doubt we would go up to Granada and further on to our place..Hubby doesn't do well with quick hello's and goodbyes, too much of a clash but i know he would cope with 2 days in Malaga, covid or no covid, he loves going home! Ahh what to do!
Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Have a few days in the city. I am missing it and i only got back 4 weeks ago.
Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
2 days and 10 days quarantine?
Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Plus have to organise getting the Covid test 72 hours before coming here. They will accept other types of test now, but still there's the expense and hassle sourcing it. It's difficult to do things last minute nowadays.

The test is easy for us having a lab on the doorstep and no need to worry about post as we collect the certificate by hand and on this occasion i don't care about the cost, the flights tickets were £5 each way.No problem with self isolating when we return, it's xmas and we will be home anyway until after New Year..Looking forward to it..
Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
Go for it Pamela! We're so glad we got away when we did in October before the tests were introduced and the travel restrictions here started.

Spanish friends usually visit us for a few days at this time of the year. En route to see their Daughter who works in London. They cancelled this year due to ferry cancellations and restrictions. A few days ago they went shopping to Malaga, involved in a car crash. He is ok but my friend may have life changing injuries as her legs were smashed. Just bears out what many have said. You may be run over by a bus tomorrow, or some nutter driving their car into a crowd of people!

Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
As far as hotels go Katy, spoilt for choice, especially on price..there are enough hotels open..staying in Hotel Miramar, thought we would treat ourselves considering the rate we got was the same rate as other 4/5* hotels this time last year..The hotel is usually double the price.
Awful about your friend, we never know what is around the corner..true what they say, live for today and worry less about tomorrow..

Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia
If anybody still believes that this is just about some hyped up virus they are living in cloud cuckoo land. We have already seen proof that all deaths from pneumonia, seasonal flu and covid are being lumped together as a quietly introduced 'PIC' figure in order to justify and perpetuate this odious agenda.
