New Alcohol Hours

Postby jonbar.1 » Sat Dec 19, 2020 9:23 am

Does the new " Covid" rule about alcohol not being served between 18.00h and 22.00h, also apply to actually "drinking" alcohol?
If not; all the punters need to do is: at around 17.35h order enough drinks to last the next two hours :
Seems a bit of a daft rule :eh:

It means that bars and restaurants have to physicaly cloes between 18.00 - 20.00 hrs, so if you order a dozen pints at 17.30, you only have half an hour to drink them. No problem

Cheers Fincalospinos.
As I understand it: the bars & restaurants are not closing for those two hours; they will be open but they simply will not be allowed to serve alcohol. In fact,I read this morning that plain-clothes police will be randomly monitoring it....no doubt wearing gabardine trench-coats and false moustaches!

Bars and restaurants have to close, its cafes that can stay open but not for serving alchohol.

"This order establishes that from this day on, “the establishments that carry out their activity according to the Economic Activities Tax epigraphs 672, 674.6 and 676, intended exclusively for cafeterias, chocolate and ice cream parlors , including similar establishments in cinemas and theaters, may remain open until half an hour before the time limit "in force until 10:30 pm, although" in these establishments the consumption and delivery of any type of alcoholic or spirits during the time slot between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm is strictly prohibited"

What a load of nonsense.
A man likes his wife to be just clever enough to appreciate his cleverness, and just stupid enough to admire it

Hostelaria are those that don't meet the tax codes on their licence. The owners will know exactly what that means
