Smoke Alarms..... Fitted?

Postby RichardCoeurdeLion » Sat Mar 10, 2007 12:31 pm

Smoke alarms don't seem very common in Spain.

Could be the best few quid you ever spend. :!:

We also recently bought a portable carbon monoxide detector. Lots of folk use log burning stoves and carbon monoxide could be a problem. You can take it with you when you are staying in places where the boiler looks a bit dodgy. :(

Basic smoke alarms are usually in stock in Leroy Merlin.

I saw carbon monoxide detectors on sale the other day. It was in either Eroski or Carrefour, I can't remember which.

A year ago I was seriously thinking about commercially importing smoke detectors since I had to go all the way to B&Q in Watford to find one. Luckily I didn't bother. Now you can get them for 10 euros or so from Bauhaus, Leroy Merlin, Carrefour etc....seems I wasn't the only one to spot a gap in the market!
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often
