Short Story Comp.

Postby Cassandra » Wed Jul 25, 2007 12:28 pm

This will test the 'related to Andalucia' rule. I've been going to a creative writing group for a while, here in Almeria, facilitated by a poet who won $20,000 for her poem 'Dark Land of Light' which is about Andalucia :D Enough connections :?

Anyway, the point of this post is that I've written a few bits of poetry and some short stories and have just submitted a story to a competition. This one has slightly odd rules in that it's by public vote initially and only the top ten go through to the final judging panel. They say you can get all your family and friends to vote but since I don't know lots of peeps (being stuck in a backwater like Almeria!) I thought you lot might like to help :D

If any of you would be kind enough to read my story and vote for it you can see it here http://www.toowrite.com It's called 'Frogs, Snails and a Stegasauraus' and is on the home page and page 1 of competition 2 entries at the moment but will move down the list as more entries come in.

Peteroldracer, if you decide to read it please bear in mind it's written from a 4 year olds viewpoint so would fail a Grammar Police Check

Thanks everyone :D

Best ever short fairytale:

Once upon a time there was a man who met a woman. He asked her to marry him, she said "No", and he lived happily ever after

Thanks :D It's early days yet and a lot of stories have been on there for over a month so have a lot more votes but probably get less views now so you never know.
