Starlite Marbella Turns 15: Global Stars, Big Announcements
Lovers of live music have plenty to celebrate this summer as the iconic Starlite Festival marks its 15th edition with one of its most ambitious programmes to date.
Returning once again to the spectacular Cantera de Nagüeles in Marbella, the boutique festival will host 48 nights of concerts between 19 June and 29 August 2026, bringing together international superstars, Latin music sensations and legendary performers under the stars on the Costa del Sol.
This year’s line-up includes global names such as Lenny Kravitz, Maroon 5, Deep Purple, John Legend, Diana Krall, Jean-Michel Jarre, Rick Astley and Kool & the Gang, alongside Latin favourites including Danny Ocean, Grupo Frontera, Yandel and Elvis Crespo. Also appearing are Anastacia, Ara Malikian, Gypsy Kings and Alan Parsons.
The programme was officially unveiled during a press conference held at the Centro Cultural Hospital Real de la Misericordia in Marbella, attended by festival co-founders Sandra García-San-juán and Ignacio Maluquer, together with Marbella mayoress Ángeles Muñoz.
15% Discount for Marbella Residents
To celebrate the festival’s milestone anniversary, Sandra San-Juan announced a special offer exclusively for Marbella residents.
Between 15 May and 15 June, local residents can receive a 15% discount on the purchase of up to four tickets. The offer is limited, and organisers are encouraging music fans to book early before the allocation runs out.
To obtain the discount, residents simply need to register online at starlitemarbella15.es, where they will receive a personalised code by email to use when purchasing tickets online.
The “15” theme will continue throughout the summer, with fifteen special “Instapoints” appearing across Marbella, celebrating some of the most memorable moments from the festival’s history.
Marbella to Host Premios Juventud in Historic First
The biggest surprise of the afternoon came when Ignacio Maluquer revealed a major international announcement fresh from New York.
For the first time in its history, the renowned Premios Juventud awards ceremony will take place outside the Americas and arrive in Marbella on 3 September 2026.
Produced by TelevisaUnivision, the gala will be broadcast live to more than twenty international territories, reaching millions of viewers across the United States and Latin America.
Previous editions of the awards have traditionally been held in the United States, with last year’s ceremony taking place in Panama City, where Bad Bunny emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners. Marbella’s selection for 2026 therefore represents a significant coup for both the city and the festival.
As part of the partnership, the event will be rebranded as “PJ Fest”, a new international format that aims to combine concerts, professional networking events, immersive experiences and music industry activities throughout an entire week in Marbella.
Maluquer described the collaboration as an opportunity to transform Marbella “into one of the major international hubs for Latin culture and global entertainment.”
The announcement initially left some journalists intrigued, particularly as the new “PJ Fest” branding was unveiled before many details had been made public. However, organisers insisted the project marks the beginning of a major international expansion strategy for both brands.
Mayor Ángeles Muñoz acknowledged the scale of the opportunity, stating that Marbella is “not yet fully aware of the significance that hosting this event will have,” while highlighting the enormous promotional and media impact it is expected to generate for the city.
Despite the surprise surrounding the announcement, both Sandra San-Juan and Ignacio Maluquer appeared visibly emotional and proud to unveil the news in Marbella before anywhere else in the world.
The event also featured a video message from Nacho Meyer, speaking from Miami, who thanked both the Andalusian Government and Marbella Town Hall for their support. Meyer described Premios Juventud as “one of the most important media platforms for promoting Latin music and young artists internationally” for more than two decades.
With world-class artists, international media attention and a major new partnership on the horizon, the 15th edition of Starlite Marbella is looking really good.
