The High Resolution Hospital in Estepona was officially opened in February 2021. It belongs to the Andalucian Health Service. It provides primary and hospital care services, including a wide range of specialist medical services such as cardiology, general surgery, internal medicine, pneumology and otolaryngology. It serves the catchment area of Málaga, Sabinillas, Casares and Estepona. After serving as an outpatient centre for a couple of years, it expanded to offer full services from November 2025 to July 2026. It has a 24-hour emergency service with X-ray facilities. It is located at Calle Irene Villa González 9 in the Arroyo Vaquero District a few kilometres west of the town centre.
HOSPITALS on COSTA DEL SOL - PRIVATE HOSPITALS
There are several private hospitals and clinics along the Costa del Sol. The Hospital Hospitén Estepona, located on the A-7 between Estepona and San Pedro town, has a 24-hour emergency department. To the east of Marbella's centre is the large Hospital Quirón Marbella (formerly known as USP), which has a separate outpatient department and a 24-hour emergency department. Xanit International Hospital has a modern hospital in Benalmádena and clinics in Fuengirola and Málaga.
