Casa Grande
A restored mansion on a pretty square with a roof terrace, close to the train station, this small, discreet boutique hotel is converted from a 1920s casa-palacio (mansion) built in typical Andalucian style, with central patio.
Offering great value for money, the three-star hotel is furnished with antiques, such as writing desks and free-standing wardrobes; together with the library, which is stocked with music and books, the decor makes the hotel feel like a family home. Service is excellent and knowledgable and there's a 24-hour bar service.
In the 16 rooms and suites you'll find iron-framed beds, free WIFI and plasma-screen TVs with satellite channels. Some rooms overlook the palm tree-lined plaza.
