Fiona Flores Watson has lived in Spain for over 20 years, and has been a journalist since completing an MA in journalism at City University in London in 1992. As well as her blog and other features for Andalucia.com, Fiona writes freelance articles for newspapers, magazines and websites including the Telegraph, Independent, the Sunday Times, nationalgeographic.com and Food & Travel; she also co-wrote Lonely Planet Experience Andalucia and Rough Guide Seville Seasons, and updated the Bradt Seville guide. She has appeared on British, Irish and Australian radio.
Fiona lives near Seville with her Spanish husband and their two Anglo-Andalusi children. Over the years, Fiona has written about many topics including travel; business and marketing; motoring and technology; design and art. More recently, in Spain, her interests and experiences have led her to write features on the region’s fiestas and cultural events; beaches and monuments; hotels, restaurants and bars. Fiona also works as a copywriter for clients like the D.O.s of Cava and Sherry, and as a ghostwriter, guide and translator: she translated an award-winning book about sherry, The Book of Sherry Wines.
