Lauro Golf Course
Great natural beauty and panoramic views surround Lauro Golf Course. An inland course on flat terrain 300 metres above sea level, opened in 1992 with holes 1-18 designed by Falco Nordi and later the addition of holes 19-27 designed by Mariano Benítez.
The design of the field has emphasized the natural environment with abundance of the native vegetation, creating micro-climate thanks to the many trees and fourteen lakes on the golf course. A delightful test of golf among pine, cork, olive and citrus trees , the course is mature with some of the best greens on the Coast.
The clubhouse is a restored 18th century farmhouse. Facilities include restaurant, changing rooms, shop and office, plus a swimming pool, paddle school plus horse riding club. Lauro Golf guests can also hire Segways. The farmhouse is steeped in history and was one the scene of the killing of a group of smugglers.Laura Golf is the host club for the final event of the Santander Women's Professional Spanish Championship. Directions: From the N-340 highway, once you get to Fuengirola take the MA-426 and drive past MIjas Golf and Alhaurín Golf until you get to Alhaurín el Grande. From here it is about 5 kilometres to the course towards Alhaurín de la Torre. Map
