Rio Real district of Marbella
Rio Real is one of Marbella sought after districts. Located just to the east of the town centre and cantered on the river of the same name and the Rio Real Golf Course which opened in 1965 as part of the Los Monteros developments.
beach side
On the coast the old watch tower still stands proud and marks an entrance to the district. At this place there is a road down to the beach with limited parking (in the Summer) outside El Trocadero Arena Beach restaurant.
There is also Kite Surfing and other watersports training centre located at the beach here. Walk along to where the Rio Real Golf course comes right down to the beach front. This beach crosses the Rio Real river, for this reason this eastern part of Playa el Pinillo is often referred to as Playa Rio Real. It is a good starting point for a walk on the coastal path.
Rio Real Beach apartments were constructed here in 1998. They consist of nine ochre coloured four storey apartment blocks, front line and protected from behind with woodland and the natural rise of the headland at this point. There are about 150 apartments in total.
Mountain Side
Although a sizable district the number of available properties constructed and for sale is small. There is a mixture of medium to large sized villas located around and overlooking the Golf course. Some are located within the Rio Real Golf urbanisation others in the modern complex of La Finca Marbella.
