Aeropolis is a technology park a few km North East of Seville which is dedicated to businesses in the aerospace sector.
The park has a total surface area of 580.000 m² with 312.000 m² for construction. Of this 285.000 m was available for sale to companies in the aeronautical sector. 26.000 m² is being used for the construction of industrial modules by Aeropolis for sale or rent.
There will also be a Business Centre of 21.000m² The first phase of three includes all the general service and common areas in others there wll be areas dedicated to start up companies.
Aeropolis will also be the location of the future R&D institution Centro Aeroespacial de Tecnologia.
The development work began in Novemmber 2004 with the setting up of the parks’ management company Parque Tecnológico y Aeronáutico de Andalucía SL which is wholly owned by the Agency IDEA.
The park is now 90% sold, 30 companies have purchased plots and 11 have started construction. There are currently eight companies up and running. Navair, Elimco, Sofitec, Inespasa, Mechanica de Precision, Mecanica Marquez, Galvatec and Inasel.
