Las Angosturas
The ancient Chalcolithic settlement of Las Angosturas is an archaeological site that has been occupied since the Copper Age. Four significant archaeological excavations took place here between 1980 and 1983. The necropolis is located near Cortijo Colorao (now known as Cortijo del Olivar), to the north of the Las Angosturas settlement. The cultural sequence revealed by the site encompasses the Early and Full Copper Ages. After this, a phase of individual Bronze Age burials was documented, some of which contained relics stored in large vessels. The settlement continued into the Iberian period, during which numerous rectangular buildings believed to have been dwellings were constructed, although the purpose of some structures is unclear. The settlement was defended by a double line of walls. In 1996, the Las Angosturas settlement was officially recognised as a Site of Cultural Interest and an Archaeological Zone
