Berrocal Museum
The Berrocal Museum in Villanueva de Algaidas dedicated to the work of the sculptor Miguel Ortiz Berrocal (1933-2006).
The Berrocal Museun is made up of four section in two location in the village.

- Berrocal Museum
- Sculpture Garden
- Museum House
The artist's last studio-Workshop is open to the public on an prior reservation basis for small groups.
History of the Museum
Back in 1995 the Villanueva de Algaidas City Council allocated municipal funds for the construction of the a future museum in a new building. In 2000 the foundationi stone of the new building was laid. In 2002 construction was paralyzed due to lack of funds. In 2004 the artist set up a new workshop in a modernm building on the industricl estat of the village. Sady he dies in 2006. In November 2007, the Berrocal heirs, complying with his express will constituted the 'Berrocal Sculptor Foundation for the Arts'. In 2010 the foundation donated all Berrocal's works to the town of Villanueva de Algaidas, represented by the Town Hall.
