Iglesia de Santa Ana
The Church of Santa Ana was built in the second half of the sixteenth century, after the previous church was destroyed during the Revolt of the Alpujarras by the Moorish population. This church was located in the Plaza de España in Cádiar. Initially dedicated to the Encarnación, the hurch of Cádiar was rededicated to San Blas and Santa Ana in 1763, the latter of whom gave the hurch its name. The church of Santa Ana is of Renaissance construction and has a cross plan and buttress constructions. Stone is the main material used in its construction and it has a tower and a hipped roof. It is located in Plaza La Iglesia.
