Rainbow Steps, Estepona

The Rainbow Steps in Estepona are a colourful yet little-known attraction, just off the Avenida del Mar. You won’t find the escalera arco iris (marked on maps as part of Arrabal las Mesas or Camino las Mesas) in the guide books or on the official town tourist website, but it is of interest to keep-fit enthusiasts and Social Media fans alike.

Muelle de Río Tinto

Muelle de Rio Tinto is a commercial dock used for the trade of material from the mines of the Rio Tinto Company Limited on the Rio Odiel. It is commonly known as the "Muelle del Tinto" but is no longer in use. It is however, a popular place for many to visit, and enjoy a walk down the 'muelle' itself or even to fish. It was declared of Cultural Interest in 2003.

Monumento a la Fe Descubridora

This massive statue, located at Punta Sebo where the rivers Odiel and Tinto meet, is often mistaken for the figure of Columbus. The statue actually represents a Franciscan friar of Monasterio La Rábida, who took Christopher Columbus in while he was planning his first voyage and waiting for confirmation of funding from the Spanish monarchs.

Mirador del Puerto, Estepona

Overlooking the fishing port and the yacht Marina is a viewpoint. It is actually the roof of some fishing industry stores. As well as views of the lighthouse, fishing port, board yard and the yachting marina, the mirador features a small number of seats and benches in an interesting minimalist style. Its a popular photo point.
