Cuevas del Almanzora is a town known for the caves that can be found there and for the river that runs through it. Located just away from the coast on the Costa Almería, it benefits from both cultural tourism and ´sun and beach´ tourism. The beach towns of Villaricos and Vera are not far at all, and the arahceological sites and famous caves are also just around the corner.

Dreambeach 2013 was the first edition of Dreambeach. It took place from 10th to 15th August 2017. This was the longest festival yet. Six days Tuedsay to Sunday. The Sunday was a wind down with acts on the Camping stage. Total gate passes of the five stadium days were 175.000 which is about 35.000 atendees.

Dreambeach moves to a new location for it 10th Aniversary in 2024 at La Toya Retamar close to Almeria City and Airport leaving behind Playa Villaricos (Cuevas del Almanzora, Almería).

Due to its location and natural resources, Cuevas de Almanzora has been a settlement for various cultures throughout history. The area was once home to a mining village called Villaricos, from which the Phoenicians established a neuralgic trade centre from the seventh century BC.

Sierra Almagrera in southwest Spain is a small, four-kilometre wide mountain range running parallel to the coast for a distance of 12 kilometres with a maximum altitude of under 400 metres in the municipalities of Cuevas del Almanzora and Pulpi. It is known for its rich deposits of silver and lead./p>

Europe’s first desert course was designed by Peter McEvoy in true Arizona style with about half the grass areas normally found on other courses. There is an abundance of cactus, springs, rocks, water hazards and dry river beds and while the terrain is fairly flat there are many sandstone outcrops.

Cuevas de Almanzora owes its name to its caves (cuevas) and the Almanzora river that runs through it, and offers visitors a rich variety of things to do, including an excursion to the cave houses of Calguerín. Among over 200 excavated caves in the rocky cliff face, some have been set up as rural lodgings providing accommodation, and one as a museum.

Dreambeach 2019 was the seventh edition of Dreambeach. It took place on 7th and 10th August 2019. There were 160.000 auditorium gate passes over the five days. Some of the best DJs in the world played including Armin van Buuren, Seth Troxler, on Thursday Steve Aoki, Don Diablo, Paul Kalkbrenner and Adam Beyer.

Dreambeach 2020 - The eigth edition of the Dreambeach festival that wuold have taken place in August 2020 was cancelled due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and the travel restrictions.

Dreambeach 2018 was the sixth edition of Dreambeach. The festival took place from the 8th to 12th August 2018. There were three days of artists on the main stages. Total auditorium passes were 155.000 which equals an attendance of 50.000 over the three days.

Dreambeach 2014 was the fourth edition of Dreambeach. It took place on 3 days 11th to 13th August 2016.

Dreambeach 2015 was the third edition of Dreambeach. It took place on 9th and 10th August 2015. Artists included Fatboy Slim, Nina Kraviz, Oliver Heldens, Sam Feldt, Paco Osuna, Sigma, Matador, Eric Prydz, Luciano, Blasterjaxx and many others.

Dreambeach 2014 was the second edition of Dreambeach the 2nd edition ran for 2 days on 8th and 9th August 2014. The lineup included Armin Van Burren, Benny Page, Aphex, Black Sun Empire and Boregore. Snoop Dogg, Carl Cox, Krewella, Armin Van Buuren, Marco Carola, I Am Legion, Knife Party, Nestky live, W&W.

Dreambeach 2013 was the first edition of Dreambeach. It took place on 9th and 10th August 2013at the spiritual home of the Creamfields Andalucia festival which had experimented with other locations from 2008 to 2012. Dreamfields was a clever choice of name, similar in style yet different from Creamfields. There was an ready made attendance of attendance of 30.000 festival goers.
