Atalaya NEW Rosner Golf Course

Wanting to offer a different golfing experience, the Atalaya Golf Club expanded in 1990, with the opening of the New Course, situated in the hills above the Old Course. Designed by Paul Krings, a renowned German master golf course architect, this Par-72 course offers a contrasting playing experience with fairways and greens shaped by natural slopes and elevation changes. Accuracy from the tee is particularly important on this layout.

The course provides panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, the Mediterranean Sea and Gibraltar. Its elevated location, away from main roads, ensures a quiet and natural environment. The landscape includes a lake on the 4th hole and a central woodland with cork oaks, olive and carob trees.

A pleasure for the most demanding golfer, Atalaya Rosner Golf Course also called Atalaya New Golf Course requires accuracy off the tee and a steady putter on the green.

Although deceptive at the beginning among the wide, flat fairways, Atalya Rosner soon shows its teeth by rising into the foothills and winding inland towards Ronda. The return leg offers golfers a gentle wander down the fairways of the older course to the chalet style clubhouse.
